Reconstruction of the eastern part of outer wall of the monastery of Sopoćani

The reconstruction of the eastern part of outer wall of the monastery of Sopoćani is finished. Serbian medieval monastery in raška style characterize the circle spatial organization of secondary objects and defense wall around centered church. For  centuries, this part of the 40 meters long Sopoćani wall was degradated. After the latest intervention of the Republican institute for protection of monuments of culture in Belgrade, the composition and the monastery yard is finally encircled.

Sopoćani is on the UNESCO World heritage list.
