In a manner of the coastal baroque

Half an hour documentary about famous Boka Kotorska painter Tripo Kokolj, who was born in Perast in 1661, directed by Stijepo Mijovic Kocan, had its premiere at Kotor “Boka” theatre. There were many admirers of its name and painting, who came to see this movie about an artist of Venetian school, with a style of baroque.
Director worked on the documentary not more than two days, on the locations in Perast and Lady of the Rock island last year.
The most famous works of the painter are the walls of Lady of the Rock church, which are covered from the floor to the ceiling with about 70 paintings. They are motivated by the life of the Apostils and words from the Holy Bible along with images of many prophets and sibyls.
