Miriste - the future archeological park

The Municipality of Budva is working on protection of the archeological site Miriste and the idea is that it should become archeological park which will also be used in the purposes of tourism. This work is being done by the eminent archeologists Mladen Zagarcanin and Dejan Gazivoda together with students of Archeology from Belgrade. During the last few months they discovered the remains of one roman mention from the second century, two bathrooms, the big pool as well as the parts of heating system. Using systematic archeological researching of Miriste , we have the new knowledge and perspective about this ancient dwelling in the central part of Montenegrin coast.
