Publication "Prizren in Retrovisor"

EC Ma Ndryshe is pleased to announce its newest publication "Prizren in Retrovisor", a comparative catalogue that offers a comparison among two Prizrens, the old one, which is illustrated by the old photos placed left side, and the current view of the city, reflected by the photos from the same perspective of the corresponding photo in the left. All photos have short descriptions about the location, objects that are seen and values that are reflected. Descriptions are short because the photo comparison speaks itself. It speaks a lot, more than any word or phrase.

The catalogue contains 33 photo comparisons and it aims at drawing readers' attention to the negative transformation of the city during the last decades. The publication was financially supported by Cultural Heritage without Borders, Kosova.

Publication "Prizren in Retrovisor" can be downloaded here.

Treasure of the Kotor Diocese in Zagreb

The Gallery Klovićevi dvori in the Upper town in Zagreb organizes great exhibition Treasure of the Kotor Diocese from 14.12.2009. till 14.02 2010, after 1200 years of moving the relics of the Saint from Asia Minor to Kotor.

For centuries is Kotor seat of the Roman catholic bishops. It is an old walled town in Boka Kotorska bay in Montenegro, with the Cathedral of St Triphon from 1166 as a remarkable monument within.

Fifteen experts from five countries worked upon the realization of the exhibition, which is a nice example of international cooperation of institutions and experts. Extraordinary religious objects from the whole Boka bay are exhibited: relics of the head of Saint Triphon, golden altar from the Cathedral, painting of Lovro Dobričević and Tripo Kokolja, crucifixes, silver plates from Perast, the Dobrota lace, stone elements.

Photos for SEE calendar 2010

Dear SEE Heritage friends,

We are preparing a new SEE calendar for 2010, similar to the one we made last year. We think that it was a good and nice PR material for our Network, and that it will be good to have it this year, as well.

We are thinking to use the same model - to have photos of different heritage elements /built, movable, intangible/from different SEE parts; Photos that are good, attractive and effective, and that show some interesting details (rather then complex).

Therefore we are writing to ask you to send us some good photos from the SEE region that could be used for the new SEE calendar.  We are especially addressing our friends who deal with photography professionally! It will be great if you could find and send us some of your photos!

Please, if you have some photos that you think could be good for the SEE calendar, send them to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by December 10, 2009.

Thank you very much in advance!
